The Eastern Ontario Beekeeping Association (EOBA) is excited to announce a Logo Design Contest as part of our rebranding initiative! Our current logo no longer reflects the vibrancy and growth of our association and the beekeeping community we represent. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on the EOBA's new visual identity.
We are looking for a fresh, modern, and creative logo that embodies our values, promotes beekeeping in Eastern Ontario, and connects with our community. Whether you’re a professional designer, an enthusiastic hobbyist, or just have a love for bees, we encourage you to participate!
Contest Details:
Prize: The winning logo design will be featured as the official EOBA logo and will be used on all our marketing materials, including website, social media, merchandise, and event banners. The winner will also receive a cash prize of $100 and a $100 gift certificate from OBS and a free EOBA membership for the upcoming year.
Deadline for Submissions: March 31, 2025
How to Submit: Please send your design along with a brief description of the concept behind your logo to info@eoba.ca with the subject line "EOBA Logo Design Contest."
Winner Announcement: The winning design will be announced on March 31st, 2025, and the designer will be notified directly.
Contest Rules:
Eligibility:
The contest is open to everyone. You do not need to be a member of EOBA to participate.
Design Requirements:
The logo should be original and not infringe on any copyrights.
It should represent beekeeping in Eastern Ontario and convey themes of nature, sustainability, community, and the importance of bees.
The design should be simple, clean, and versatile. It must work well in both color and black-and-white formats.
The logo must be scalable for various uses, from small social media icons to large banners.
Please avoid complex text and intricate details that may not be clear at smaller sizes.
Submission Guidelines:
Submit your design in vector format (e.g., AI, EPS, SVG) or high-resolution PNG/JPEG format. If you are not tech savvy – You may submit any digital format.
Include a brief description (150-200 words) explaining the inspiration behind your design and how it aligns with the EOBA’s mission and values.
Judging Criteria:
The logo will be judged based on creativity, relevance, and the ability to represent the EOBA and beekeeping in Eastern Ontario.
The contest panel will include EOBA board members and beekeepers from the community.
Intellectual Property:
By submitting your design, you grant the EOBA the right to use the logo in perpetuity across all media platforms, including but not limited to websites, print materials, social media, and promotional items.
The EOBA will retain exclusive rights to the winning design and may make minor edits for practical use.
Multiple Entries:
You may submit more than one design if you have multiple ideas. Please submit each design separately with its own description.
Final Decision:
The EOBA reserves the right to modify the contest rules, extend the deadline, or select no winner if no suitable entries are received.
